The Backalast activates the trapezius, latissimus dorsi, and deep stabilisers of the scapulothoracic region, ensuring proper alignment of the scapula and reducing strain on the thoracic spine and cervical spine.
By strengthening the trapezius and deep neck flexors while retraining the cervical spine to a neutral position, the Backalast counters postural imbalances caused by screen use and daily activities.
Targeted activation of the deltoid, teres minor, and infraspinatus stabilises the glenohumeral joint, preventing overuse injuries such as impingement or instability and reinforcing correct arm movement during complex motions.
Compression technology engages the latissimus dorsi, serratus anterior, and external obliques to stabilise the thoracic cage and maintain a neutral spine, reducing the risk of lower back hyperextension and promoting efficient breathing mechanics.
